  • How much better (if at all) could the Sequel Tragedy have been...?

How much better (if at all) could the Sequel Trilogy have been, had Disney laid out a full road map (within canon) and stuck to one director?

Would letting one director flesh out flesh out his vision (within a canonical context) been better than the revolving door approach?

I think it would have made things much better. If you think of Star Wars as an epic tale like Lord of the Rings or Dune you need one person to hold the vision through all the films or it's disjointed.

      Totally agree.

One persons vision would've made the story more cohesive. Not necessarily better (or worse), but at least more cohesive.

That and having a freaking plan would have helped.

George Lucas should have put Star Wars in a vault instead of making a sequel trilogy because Episode 6 is a perfect ending for the franchise and you get morons like KK, Ruin Wokesoy(Rian Johnson), JJ Abram, and Disney ruining it with their retardedness

IIRC, JJ and team actually did leave a bare bones road map. The problem is that the Locustfilm executives and other creatives brought in Rian Johnson, and then allowed him to write his own material. And they let him do this while hiring Colin Treverrow to make Ep. 9. Treverrow leaving the franchise was due to him working on the plan, while Rian sabotaged it.

I don't expect the ST would be good if they had stuck to the JJ plan; more 'meh' instead of 'burning garbage fire.'

I think they could have done fine, despite using different directors. At least, it's philosophically possible. The MCU seems to do fine (mostly, you know, like half the time its an ok movie, or less).
